Full-Ruggedized Military-NotebookThe Getac A790-Series is the oldest model in the product portfolio of Acturion. This rugged Mili-tary-Notebook has been built since the beginning of the 90ies. Form fit and function still stayed the same over the many years, of course the technical features have always been updated. The Getac A790-Series Ultra Militäry-Notebook was basically designed for Military use. For many years it has been doing good service in several Armies all around the world.
The Getac A790-Series Ultra Military-Notebook consists of two versions, the DURIOS A790 Ultra with a 12.1" XGA TFT display and the DURIOS A790 Ultra with a 14.1" XGA TFT display. Both rugged Military-Notebooks share the same housing. The Getac A790-Series rugged Military-Notebooks are very robust and the measures of the completely sealed rugged Notebook are very compact.
The Getac A790-Series belongs to the full rugged Military-Notebooks mostly used for Military use but in the meantime there are also a lot of civilian industrial users. The rugged Military-Notebooks of the DURIOS A-Series Ultra offer a lot unique features like two open slots for ISA, PCI or PCI Express expansion boards. The rugged DURIOS A-Series Ultra Military-Notebooks can also be equipped with up to 4 PCMCIA slots, 3 RS232 ports, 2 RS422 port, 2 HDDs or 3 batteries for extreme long battery lifetime.

Intel Core Duo processor with 1.66GHz clock rate, chipset Intel 945GM. RAM 2GB, SATA 2.5" HDD up to 300GB. Gigabit LAN, RS232, RS422 (option), LPT1, USB 2.0, VGA, IrDA, Firewire, Sound, PCMCIA, Bluetooth, WLAN, HSDPA (option), GPS (option), up to 3 batteries and up to 2 HDDs. Expansion box for 2 ISA, PCI or PCI-Express expansion cards.
