GETAC E100
Fully-Rugged UMPCThe Getac E100 UMPC is a full-ruggedized mini Tablet-PC for outdoor applications. Its metal housing is completely sealed against spill water and dust. The small size of 11.0" x 7.2" x 1.2" and the low weight of 2.9lbs (1.3kg) only rates the Getac E100 as UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC).
Inside the full-ruggedized UMPC Getac E100 works the new Intel McCaslin A110 processor especially designed for UMPs. The McCaslin supplies sufficient CPU performance for almost all applications in the field with a very low level of power consumption. The Getac E100 has one battery which keeps the UMPC up to 5hrs alive. The new 8.4" SVGA sunlight readable display is a real show-piece. Contrary to the hitherto existing CCFL backlights the new display uses high bright LEDs which supply more than 1,000 NITS at a very low level of power consumption.
The full-ruggedized UMPC is available with touch screen or digitizer pen. The later version already has a sunlight readable display and it comes with Windows XP Tablet Edition installed. The touch screen version can be ordered with standard display or sunlight readable display. Other useful options for the field are HSDPA WWAN modem and GPS receiver.
